What Qualifies as an Emergency?
An emergency is any issue that poses a serious risk to your home or health, including:
✓ Complete loss of heat (Sept 15 – May 15)
✓ Gas leaks
✓ Complete loss of electricity (not due to an area-wide outage)
✓ Complete loss of water
✓ Sewage backup affecting the entire home
✓ Major water leaks requiring a full water shut-off
✓ Structural collapse
✓ Significant water penetration inside your home
What to Do in an Emergency
- Email or call the emergency service number, in the case of a gas leak call your gas utility provider or call 911
- During regular business hours (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM), please contact our Warranty Service Team directly at 289-769-8601 or [email protected]
- For after-hours emergencies (5:00 PM – 8:30 AM), emergency service is available by calling the number above
- A Losani Homes Warranty Team Member will return your email or call
- Follow your Homeowner Emergency Checklist
- Losani Homes will ensure your home is safe within 24 hours
- Full repairs may take longer but will follow warranty obligations
Emergency Do’s & Don’ts
Complete Loss of Heat:
• Check the thermostat and power switch.
• Ensure exterior vents aren’t blocked (for high-efficiency furnaces).
Gas Leak:
• Leave the home immediately.
• Contact your gas utility provider or 911.
Complete Loss of Electricity:
• Check your breaker panel and reset circuits.
• Confirm it’s not an area-wide outage.
Sewage Backup:
• If one fixture is blocked but others work, wait for business hours.
• If the entire home is affected, call emergency services.
Plumbing Leaks:
• Try shutting off individual fixtures before turning off the main water supply.
• If the whole home is affected, call immediately.
Major Water Penetration
• Minor leaks can wait for normal service hours.
• If continuous water penetration threatens your home’s structure, call right away.
