Losani Homes Breaks Another Record For Funds Raised to Benefit Local Charities

The Losani 3rd Annual Turkey Drive Raises Over $225,000 for Charity

Stoney Creek, Ontario: For the second consecutive year, Losani Homes breaks their previous record in fundraising for local charities through an unprecedented response from its trades, vendors, and staff.

Losani’s 3rd Annual Turkey Drive and 5th Annual Toy Mountain was met this year with enormous response, raising more than $225,000 – translating to an outstanding total of 9,000 turkeys!  That’s 1,000 more than the total in 2010, and 800 more than the goal set for this event.  And with hundreds of unwrapped toys being donated, there were large number of local children who’s spirits were brightened this past Christmas.

This accomplishment rivals that of any other single event in the region that has raised money for charity.  This company-run event was realized through no-cost initiatives and staff resources on a purely volunteer basis.

The funds are largely distributed amongst 3 core charities – Hamilton Food Share, Good Shepherd, and Community Child Abuse Council just in time for the holiday season.  Losani Homes has also selected several other organizations in the Hamilton, Niagara, and Kitchener/Waterloo regions that are in great need of help.

The overwhelming result of Losani’s 2011 Turkey Drive is a true testament to when people come together and unite to meet a common goal, anything is possible.

Losani Homes would like to thank all trades, associates, friends, and family members who contributed to the Turkey Drive and Toy Mountain this year.  Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will change the lives of those in need this holiday season.

Everyone at Losani is extremely proud of the Platinum Contributors with over 300 turkey donations each – Baiocco Construction, Branthaven Homes, and Mike’s Landscaping.  Following closely, Gold Contributors of over 200 turkeys each are AJ Slinger, Aldo Painting, Barzotti, DA Drywall, Girgenti Window Treatments, Jim’s Concrete, Mountainview Homes, Patene, Quality Ready Mix, Riviera Electric, Studd Construction, Tonco, and Turkstra Lumber.  The extremely generous contributions made by these companies alone accounts for more than 40% of total donations – definitely something to feel good about!

With such a truly inspiring end to 2011, the Losani Homes Team has high spirits as plans for charitable projects in 2012 take shape.  A focus on giving back to local communities and helping those in need is already resonating in 2012 and will stay for years to come.
